Pauline Baynes Archive:
Working and Personal Library

Following is a preliminary inventory of the greater part of the working and personal library of Pauline Baynes, acquired as part of the Baynes bequest to the Williams College Oxford Programme. Excluded are a selection of particularly rare books (fine printing and graphic arts), and books illustrated by Baynes which will be the subject of a separate inventory. Compiled by a student employee for the Chapin Library and lightly edited, this list represents the books as they are presently stored in boxes, prior to shelving in our new facility and full cataloging. At this time, they are in no particular order, and different volumes or parts of a work may have been packed in separate boxes.
